Casuals record their best win, in front of a good sized crowd at The Hub.
In a bit of a scrappy game, Casuals won 4-0, they have played better and lost but, Casuals esprit de corps sees them through to their best league win of the season. In a game strewn with mistakes and missed chances it was Casuals who went ahead with a goal of real quality, by Man of the Match, John Gilbert. Gab O'Dunaike scored a second having beat the off-side trap, he calmly slotted the second past Alfie Marriot to put the Stags two up at half time. The second half was another scruffy affair, until Kings Langleys' captain Harrison Crawford was shown red having turned the air blue. Having been spurred on by this dismissal, Kings Langley upped the pressure, but Casuals withstood it. When the olde war horse Gab was substituted by Ansu Janneh, the "super sub" repaid the decision with two calmly taken late goals. The result moves Casuals up to eleventh in the League, making them now one of the more competent sides in the league.
All eyes are on Merstham, on Tuesday night, when Casuals visit the mid-table Isthmian Premier League side in the Surrey Senior Cup. The winners are at home to Woking in the next round.
