Casuals good form continues, with a narrow home victory against Weston-super-Mare.
For the first thirty minutes of this game, Weston looked the strong and more competent side, Casuals keep themselves in the game by doing the right things, in the right places, at the right time. Gradually, they got themselves back in the game with good team play. In fact Casuals had the best chance of the half when Adam Liddle had a one on one, well saved by Weston keeper Max Harris. When the half time whistle blew, the game looked very much in the balance. Casuals took the initiative after the restart and when Rohdell Gordon was fouled in the box, having been set through by a brave pass from Adam Liddle, Casuals took the upper hand, with Rohdell scoring the resultant penalty. The game swung from end to end but as the Weston twitter said, "A Rohdell Gordon penalty not long into the second half consign Weston to their first defeat in a month. We huffed and puffed but were unable to break a stubborn Walton down."
Casuals now go to Hendon on Saturday, with the confidence of a team, playing well as a unit. New boy Jerry Wiltshire looked confident and Wilson Carvalho was given a run out into the second half.. The Chairman looked pleased as well.
