What can one say Casuals concede 6 goals including 2 penalties. A day to forget, although it may long stick in the memories of the Casuals faithful. Possible one of the worst days in Casuals history, although with long memories I can just remember a few more.
Casuals started well and when Adam Liddle scored a good individual goal after 28 mins, Casuals started to think that the next round was possible. But when Ndukuba scored for Uxbridge followed quickly by Martin, the omens didn't look good. However John Gilbert stole through two defenders to head home Casuals equaliser. The hope was short lived with Ndukuba putting Uxbridge 2-3 up at half time. Casuals started the second half in forceful mood, but never looked sharp in the final third and it was a penalty by Akintunde that appeared to put the game beyond doubt. Uxbridge then applied the killer touch with Akintunde scoring a fifth and Martin the sixth from the penalty spot. To complete the misery Casuals had John Gilbert double yellow carded and the resultant red in the dying seconds of the game.
Casuals go to Chesham, who beat Hendon 2-0 in the league today, Tuesday night on the preverbal crest of a slump.
