Two goals by Adam Liddle, one in each half set Casuals on there way through to the next round of the CSS Southern League Cup. Although Hartley Wintney pulled one back, Casuals again looked the better side.
Casuals started this match looking as if they were the more determined side. They certainly looked the better side, but only a headed goal by Adam Liddle, just before half time, separated the two sides at the break. Casuals learning from the Wimborne and Great Wakering games were determined not to let their advantage slip and Adam Liddles goal 7mins in the second half seem to set the seal on things. Casuals determination carried them through, despite three substitutions, initially as Adam Liddle limped off, Casuals never really lost their grip on the game, despite former Stag Kyen Nicholas scoring near the end. It was nice to see former Stag Recce Robins again, who played on Hartley Wintneys wing through the whole game.
On to the next round.
