As stated elsewhere.
Casuals go through to the next round of the Southern League Cup, with a 2-1 home win over fellow Southern League Premier South side Harrow Borough.
In a fairly decent game, with both sides showing the qualities need to keep themselves more than afloat at this level. Adam Liddle scored Casuals first goal in a fairly even 1st half. Zidan Akers put Casuals a further goal ahead following some quick and slick passing, moving the ball rapidly into the forwards path, which he duly finished with aplomb. Harrow pulled one back with 10 minutes left, when substitute and former Stags favourite James Ewington scored.
Just a quick word about the officials who had a decent (if not largely quiet) with both sides (and the crowd) showing them the respect that they had earned.
I had a brief word with Ewey after the game, who seem quite happy plying his trade at the moment, but still has good memories of his time at Casuals,
