Well the facts, Hampton scored 3 goals, Casuals didn't score any.
The clichés, well you've got to take your chances; at the end of the day playing a level above shows; well a lot of lessons have been learnt that will put us in good stead for the rest of the season, I think the score was flattering and Casuals deserved better.
At half time 0-1 to Hampton, the only difference between the purported two levels of football was the score line. Hampton being a goal up used it, to their advantage and had enough nowse to do so.
The pleasing things for me, one Casuals have enough about them off the field to realistically dream to play at National South.
On a personal note, AFC Brooklands coach won the 50/50, the stags army was swelled by a lad in a Swans shirt, and a Casuals hat was sold to a Walton & Hersham youth team player.... (Shades of 15 years ago and the bloke with two scarfs).
Matthew Ch 2 v 16-18... 28th December. It's always the innocent that get caught in the middle. Usually by getting their ears bashed.
A lot of people laugh at Suburban League to Football League, today showed that due to the efforts of many, at least it still can be dreamed of.
