Bearing in mind the weather, it's pretty bad here let alone Weymouth, and with 20/20 hindsite, it was a jolly good idea of Weymouth to bring forward their home game with Casuals.
I don't think a re-arranged mid-week game would have gone down well. Worst still a trip to Dorset and the game called off, just before kick off.
However if it had been played at the Hub, it would 99.9% certain of being on.
This is the point I'm trying to make. The Southern League delayed the release of their fixtures list to ensure that long journeys took place when kind weather could be anticipated. Bearing in mind there are clubs who play on "All weather" pitches. Casuals Dorchester? etc Could the Southern League in future not adapt their fixture lists so that long journeys to clubs with all weather pitches can be set in rainy winter periods.
Just a thought from a deranged mind.YOURE EATING TOO MUCH FISH...SLAUSAC RON
