Does anyone know what is going on at Walton Casuals? As a fan and follower of non league football I do like to keep an eye on all the local sides but Casulas seem to have a total news blackout. No updates on twitter or the website, not even match reports or updates. Rumours of the former manager returning and the sponsor departing the only confirmed news since New Year. Even some of the clubs most loyal fans on Twitter (ie Longjonk) dont seem to post anymore. I attended the game on Boxing Day and even accounting for the hammering the side got the place was like a morgue with the bar all but empty on final whistle.

I asked the same thing the other week but nobody replied. I spoke to a stags fan this week who reckons the sponsor and website and social media bloke has left because of Gale coming back and even some of the fans aren't going back because of it which is why only 120 there last game. No news on Gale from the club but he was in the dugout last week I heard and it's not gone down too well, which is probably why they're keeping it secret as long as they can.

Even the displayed attendance is very disputable! At the Chesham game it was claimed 185 but there were nowhere near that! We counted 90 people in the stand, 8 standing behind the Walton goal and about the same behind the Chesham goal. Of the total number there only about 20 to 25 were away fans, no public transport or club transport hit the away following, Chesham usually take at least 60 to 70 to away games around London, often more but there was most certainly less than 100 home fans at the game.

Looking at their Twitter feed, they retweeted something from St Albans saying he's gone there along with the two that started the season in charge at Casuals.

Conroy has joined the coaching staff at St Albans. Be interesting to see if he tries to take Alex there, the bloke is a shockingly poor goalkeeper, the worst I have seen at this level and I did try to warn the Casuals fans when he signed.
