Sorry for the late response but I didn't get in till late last night and I over slept.A 2-5 score line which didn't really reflect a Casuals performance on the night. In a stadium, which many of the Casuals faithful reminded them of the old Riverside Stadium (particularly the two floodlight failures), a jubilant Sholing rightfully went through to the 4th qualifying round draw. Casuals looked the better and more skilful of the two sides in the first half, but come the turnaround, it was Sholing who came up with the goods. Personally, it was nice to see a lot of Casuals supporters there on the night. I believe we completely sold our ticket allocation, (and some Casuals Fans took relatives they were staying with locally.)
Teams Casuals;- /photo/2 Sholing;- /photo/1 Southern League Data;- southern-football-league.co.uk/match/m/118677/squad/Sholing match report;- www.sholingfc.co.uk/index.php/first-team/fixtures/27-2020-21-match-reports/593-sholing-5-2-walton-casualsCasuals now have to wait until Sat 24th Oct for their next competitive fixture away to Tiverton (Although they might have a friendly) Meanwhile close rivals Hampton & Richmond beat Hornchurch 4-3 on penalties, after a 2-2 draw in the same competition.
Any other information/constructive opinion I (and I think others might welcome)

For those who haven't picked it up, Sholing have put up on YouTube the highlights. For me what is interesting is just before Sholings' 3rd goal Aaron Lamont limps off. Without Shaun McAuley playing, that really left us without a king-pin in mid field. No doubt E.M. has it all on film to be discussed.

Sholing have been drawn at home to Torquay Utd. All we can do is, with a tear in our eye, wish them good luck! Not just against Torquay but for the rest of the season. You never know we might meet them in the league next season, ( or Bideford or Barnstable Town )
