I was sitting next to Deano and he said to me the next goal wins this, up pops Rooooooooooooney!!!
Did the same at Carshalton if I remember. You know, the night Joss Kelly got the stud in the shin.

You know, the night Joss Kelly got the stud in the shin. 1...that was the equaliser to make it 2-2...try and keep up aRNold 2...spot on ArNold. 3...correct JK got done after about ten minutes and was then out for about 6 weeks. |

spuG, Thanks for the response, I thought that, what with the Corona virus, I was just talking to myself. 1.. I think it's Marc White on the commentary saying, Anthony got it spot on, bring Rooney on 2nd half. Great bit of management that! 2.. I remember after the game, having my picture taken with Denzal, I put it up on Hallys Facebook page with the caption;- ……. Shocked Casuals fan in a state of stunned disbelief as his team wins through to the Bostik South Play Off Final. (Even a few true Swans fans saw the funny side)
3... At the Carshalton game I believe either Latey or it might of been Tyrell got injured. That meant two of our forwards out. On a pre-EHP sponsorship we didn't have the dosh to just get a player. Anyway, I think it was the following week, Casuals didn't have a game, so I went to see the W&H. I was besieged by a load of Swans fans, saying our manager had phoned up Beno, at Chertsey, saying he would lend them any player we had, to help them beat the Swans. J.Sea we only just had enough players to field a full set in the next game.. (I wonder who started that rumour? Could it of been the same bloke who said we didn't pay rent at the Hub).
Nice to reminisce mate, but as Casuals fans we know we haven't got to reminisce about, what with all these ground hoppers now!
too many ground hoppers watch the casuals...fact as mentioned in the past on numerous occasions on arnolds blog and plenty of freeloaders as also mentioned by 1969swan. |
